Speak Sister!

Expresso

By Natalie Rose

This article isn’t on break-ups, or how to ask a guy out. It’s about how to tell a friend their crush doesn’t like, well, girls. I’m only fourteen and I have quite a few guy friends who are gay, they are some of the best human beings on the face of the Earth. The only problem is that teen societies aren’t always ready to welcome gay people with open arms.

Take my school for example, there are two guys who are super flamboyant and obviously see their girl friends as “just friends.” These girls, and others, however, view them as a bit more. I’ve gone home feeling bad for these guys when a girl gets mad she’s been rejected and bad mouths him, or says he’ll warm up to her, eventually. It’s even worse when a girl calls some class clown gay in front of their faces out of spite.
