Hi, I am 22 years old. I broke up with my boyfriend because I didn't want to have sex with him. He said I am being old fashioned and that no man will ever marry me without having sex me. I don't know what do anymore. I still love him but I don't want sex before marriage. Geraldine Dear Geraldine, Stay strong with your morals and your idea of right and wrong. Only you will know when you're ready to have sex, and you can't let someone else determine that for you or you will not enjoy it and feel pressured. When it's right, you'll know it's right. Relationships that are true love don't consist of ultimatums like that - you could try talking to him and explaining that you still want to be with him but you aren't ready for that physical part of the relationship. If he isn't okay with that, don't feel obligated to change your views if you're still not ready.Good luck, keep your head up! Sincerely,GZ Advisor
Dear GZ Advisor,
My boyfriend keeps asking me to have sex with him. I mean I’m ready but I don’t want to regret it should I do it? Martha
Dear Martha,
Think about what is making you hesitate, and really consider what could change after you do have sex. Often talking about it with your partner before you make the decision to do it is the best way to be sure that it’s what you want. If he doesn’t respect your space, or the time you need to be sure that you’re ready, than maybe this isn’t the person you want to be losing your virginity to. Just take your time, there’s no rush!
